A small studio, drawing by drawing.
An independent lighting practice working with architects, interior designers and contractors on interiors and public space.
We are lighting designers, not a lighting shop.
The studio was set up because too many good rooms were being finished with whatever fitting arrived on site. We work the other way round: the scheme is designed, tested and documented first, and the product list follows from it. That order is the whole practice.
Twelve people cover design, specification, controls and site work from one floor. Nothing is handed to a third party halfway through, so the person who drew the scheme is the person standing under it on the aiming night.

How it grew
- 2014
- The practice starts as a two-person specification desk working for local architects.
- 2018
- First civic commission; controls and commissioning are brought in-house.
- 2021
- A dedicated mock-up room opens, so schemes are tested at full scale before sign-off.
- 2026
- Twelve people, one studio floor, still working drawing by drawing.
